Krampitz Communications at TÜV Rheinland

Our customer TÜV Rheinland invited us to an open day on 28 September, and we were there.

First, we were briefed on the mobile performance tests for modules up to 1360 x 2640 millimetres in size: Using an LED solar simulator, the test institute can measure up to 100 solar modules per day in the customer's warehouse or at the PV system on site. At present, the new service is being booked in particular to determine transport damage.

Then, we took a look at the test laboratories for solar modules and power electronics. The speakers at TÜV informed us in detail – whether about hail tests, grid connection conditions for e-cars during bidirectional charging or new standards for backsheets. Particularly impressive was the dangers of balcony photovoltaics and the surge voltage test including that for lightning and acoustic bang.
